these
days i always end up hopping on a taxi on my to the office. not a conscious
effort but due to the irresistible opportunity of hassle-free commute as taxis
would literally stop in front of me every morning. this is because i now avoid
the early morning rush, opting to leave for the office at around 9:30. during
this time, traffic has already improved to light to moderate and there are now
lesser competition for the oh-so-precious taxis.
in
one of these everyday commutes, i chanced upon a pack of chocolates left by the
previous passenger. i didn’t notice it immediately but was able to look at it
upon entering BGC. i looked at manong driver to know whether he already noticed
the ghirardelli pack or not. when i was pretty certain that he didn’t see it, i
got the aydisi bag, hid the chocolate pack behind it and slowly picked it up
and placed it inside my bag. right after making a right turn on 7th
av., said “sa tabi lang, manong” and paid the driver.
finders
keepers! yeah, it was as if hiding a bag of millions of cash. if the pack was
not sealed, i of course won’t get it. since it was unopened, it won’t hurt to
get that cacao rush (86% at that) early in the morning, right?! so i took it and distributed
to aydisi peeps.
till
the next taxi tale.
